The NUS Electronic Music Lab (EML) presents to you the latest results of its top-secret research carried out in underground facilities and darkened bedrooms. Sort of. The album encompasses the great diversity of music produced by EML – there’s house, ambient, chillout, techno, game music, chiptune, dubstep.

Sound Research Vol.1 is a prelude to the upcoming EML concert on 16 March, "Just Press Play". The concert is an exploration of how machines have evolved thorughout the centuries and how they may evolve into the future. Expect unconventional musical instruments like typewriters, handheld game machines and motion sensors. The music genres featured will be just as, if not more, varied as the music of Sound Research Vol.1. Tickets available at all SISTIC outlets for only S$10.
